Tips for electrical quotes
Always list cable sections separately. The client may not know what 2.5mm twin and earth cable is, but seeing the metres and price conveys transparency.
Including fault diagnosis as a separate line item values your assessment time.
For jobs over €1,000, offer installments. Many clients delay electrical work because of the cost. 3x €333 is much easier to approve than €1,000 upfront.
Frequently asked questions
Should I include VAT in my quotes?
It depends on your tax registration. If you are VAT-registered, you should include it. Prummo allows you to configure the VAT rate on your quotes.
How should I price labour?
The most common approach is to charge by the hour (€20-€35/hr) or by the day (€150-€250/day). Choose the method that best reflects the work involved.
Can I reuse quote templates?
Yes. In Prummo you can save template items that you reuse in future quotes. Common materials are always available.
