How to offer installment payments safely
Installments help close more jobs. Learn how to offer this option without taking on any risk.
The problem with full payment upfront
Many jobs over €1,000 never get approved because the client does not want to, or cannot, pay everything at once. It is not that the price is wrong; the total amount is simply intimidating.
When you offer installments, you remove the main barrier. "3x €1,000" is psychologically very different from "€3,000 now".
How it works with Prummo and Klarna
Klarna is integrated into Prummo. When the client opens the quote link and wants to pay, they automatically see the option to split into 3 interest-free installments.
The process: 1. You create the quote normally in Prummo 2. Send it via WhatsApp 3. The client accepts and chooses to pay in 3 installments 4. Klarna approves in seconds 5. You receive the FULL amount immediately in your Stripe account
You do not need to do anything extra. The option appears automatically.
Is it safe? Who takes the risk?
Klarna takes on all the risk. If the client misses a payment, that is not your problem. You have already received the full amount. Klarna handles the collection directly with the client.
All payments are processed by Stripe, the same platform used by Amazon, Google, and Shopify. Data is encrypted and never passes through Prummo.
When to offer installments
Installments make the biggest difference on jobs over €500. Examples:
- Consumer unit replacement (€3,000) → 3x €1,000
- Flat painting (€2,500) → 3x €833
- AC installation (€4,000) → 3x €1,333
- Automatic gate (€3,500) → 3x €1,167
You do not need to "sell" the installments. Just use Prummo and the option appears automatically when the client goes to pay.
