Tips for construction quotes
Always list rubble removal as a separate line. It is a real cost and the client needs to know it exists. If you do not include it, the cost comes out of your pocket.
Separate bricklayer and labourer in the quote. They have different costs and the client understands the price breakdown better.
For renovations, clearly state what is NOT included: plumbing, electrics, cabinets, appliances. Each exclusion is a line that prevents a future argument.
For jobs above €2,000, installments help a lot. A renovation of €5,000 split into 3 payments of €1,667 is easier to approve. You receive the total immediately with Prummo.
Frequently asked questions
Should I include materials in the labour price?
No. Always separate materials and labour. The client wants to know how much the blocks, cement, and sand cost versus the work itself. Transparency builds trust.
How to quote for demolition?
Include demolition and rubble transport as separate lines. Demolition can be per m² (10-20 euros/m²) or as a fixed service. The rubble skip is always separate.
When should I ask for a deposit?
For jobs above €1,000, it is reasonable to ask for 30% upfront for materials. With Prummo, the client can pay the deposit online and you have an automatic receipt.
