Tips for electrical quotes

Always list cable sizes separately. The client may not know what 2.5mm twin and earth cable is, but seeing the metres and price conveys transparency.

Including fault diagnosis as a separate line item values your assessment time.

For jobs over €1,000, a deposit and balance structure helps a lot. Many clients delay electrical work because of the upfront cost. A 30% deposit before you buy materials, with the balance on completion, is much easier to approve than the full amount at once.
