Does a free electrician quote template have legal standing?
A signed quote (even digital) can serve as a pre-contract document in South Africa, but it doesn't replace a formal contract for larger jobs. For work above roughly R20,000, it's worth having a simple written contract alongside the quote. Should I include VAT on the quote?
If your annual turnover is above R1 million you're required to register for VAT with SARS and must show VAT separately on quotes and invoices at the standard 15% rate. How long should a quote be valid for?
